A shoutout to photography!

Taking photos that "seem" like a pro is something I've never done before. Hanging around with a DSLR and a prime lens has been a great joy for me but sometimes a real pain in the @ss in certain circumstances :")

Now I'm convinced that the more I shoot, the better I become, which can be seen through the photos you're about to see. That being said, I still feel like an idiot when it comes to composition and creativity :D. You are more than welcome to comment and help me improve <3. OK, move on!!

I went to Da Nang - Hoi An last week, which was a fantastic experience. Everything was perfect except for the photographer :"( The resort we were staying was very nice. The only thing questionable about it is the good ol' 21" CRT television brand "TCL" we got to stare at in our deluxe beach front villa. Strange, huh??

These photos were shot when I was wandering around the main lounge that overlooks the big pool.

This photo of my sister was against the sun so it lacks details because of artificial lighting. However, I like her face so I decided to leave it in :))

I must say that I love photographing kids. There is something funny and dynamic about them that makes their photos unforgettable. This one I use f/2.8, ISO 100 and shutter speed 1/50, the result looks amazing!

To make the journey authentic and less expensive :">, we had a big lunch in some sloppy local restaurant with distinctively delicious food. The entire roof is made out of bamboo, the whole time I was thinking it would burst into flames due to the heat... Nah, I'm kidding..

After checking-in our rooms, which took like 3 hours of waiting and playing Fruit Ninja, I had the chance to browse and took some shots.

The pool itself is great but a bit deep for little kids. I spent most of my swimming time in the pool, not because I prefer the pool... I was attacked by a bunch of shrimps in the sea, that left my skin red for hours afterwards :((

Fortunately, we went to Hoi An in the evening. I've never been more excited, mostly since I heard so much about it. We decided to eat next to the river, sitting on tiny chairs and enjoying the view of lanterns floating. I'm sorry that no pictures were taken during this time, I was really really busy ;))

However, I found the food a little disappointing, may be due to many customers at that time.

To be honest, I struggled the whole time, especially in extremely low light. These lanterns gave out very weak and yellow-ish light. I had to delete many shots because I set the ISO level whether too high or too low. I want to use the built-in flash as the last resort. In this case, the result was unexpected :)

The next morning, we headed for Ngu Hanh Son and Non Nuoc pagoda. The sun, the steep stairs made me sweat like a pig, so did my camera :"| There was nothing in particular that I liked about that place so I did a self-capture :">

"Linh Ung" pagoda is magnificent. The camera was in action too!

I went for a swim later in the pool. Man, I can feel my abs only after 2 days of swimming. What a way to burn calories! Going out for a walk, I met this cute little bat sleeping on the handrail.

_MG_0559-44

Ain't he cute? He's so cute that you just wanna.. leave him alone :( You don't want a bite from that thing, do you?

The next day began with a visit to My Khe sea. I really like this place. Wild, friendly and also hotttt..
The sea is calm, not like in Cat Ba or Do Son, where I'm used to getting pantsed by those huge waves.

One thing I should remind you. Never run bare foot on this kind of sand. My brother and I tried. And as soon as I landed my feet, I knew I was wrong. I was lucky to have the sea nearby as I could smell something burning. I was planning to borrow a pair of flip-flops when this guy came out of nowhere and took it away. Damn!

Da Nang city looks amazing at night, I have to admit. We went to an antique purposely-built cafe' named "Pho Xua". Lanterns everywhere! I'm not a fan of lanterns anymore so I sat quietly, admiring the taste of different kinds of tea :")

We changed to a resort in Lang Co, which has been recently credited as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. I find this a bit flattering. Though we've booked the finest resort in Lang Co, the room standard is not that great. The pool is dirty :( may be due to lack of investment. The sea is OK to swim in, however, can become dangerous if you don't know where you are swimming.

Time to pull out the camera :D

The resort at night looks rather creepy. Foot-level lights and lots of trees make it difficult to make out the paths, which are organized like a spider's web. By the way, the villas are named after each kind of flower. Mine is 'Villa Daisy' =))

The main focus of the last day is Ba Na hills, which we intended not to go in the beginning. Ba Na is advertised as the longest and highest cable car service and there is no doubt about it :-S. At the top, it feels breezy and cool to my liking. There is some videos I recorded inside the cabin but it was too shaky. :(

These photos finalize our trip to Ba Na hills, some you will find amusing if look carefully. :")

There are a lot more photos, which are family portraits and all those craps I trained before capturing the real thing.  Next time, I will spend more time on editing and learning to shoot properly. You will soon be amazed! =)) =)) Thank you for taking your time and bearing with me. Have a good day ♥
